MoneySense magazine released the 2011 ranking of the best cities to live in Canada. The ranking is built taking into consideration 180 cities with population over 10000 people. The following items were assessed: housing price, weather, prosperity, crime rate, health care, lifestyle and their subcategories.

It is good to know that the city we’ve chosen to live is well positioned in the ranking (first place ), we can say it is a good choice.

We are in the homestretch for our move to Ottawa in Canada. These days have been really crazy due to all we have to do. It is interesting to note that when we are in the immigration process the time seems to go by so slow, but now it looks like we will not be able to finish everything we have to.

Our goal now is to make a furnished apartment into 6 suitcases, 32kg each. Therefore we are selling everything we have and in some days we are leaving the apartment, then we will not have a place to call ours in Brazil.

Having no place to live also means have no internet and for those who work remotely like me, that also means wander around (friends’s houses) looking for an available connection. Not only looking for a connection, but also looking for a bed to rest and some space for 6 big suitcases.

Add to this medical exams, dentist, documents, letter of attorney. Another task of ours is to look for apartments in Ottawa as I mentioned in the previous post.

Summarizing, we are living in limbo these days. We don’t live in Brazil anymore, but we are not living in Canada yet. All of this is something that helps life to be more interesting to us. The only downside is the high level of anxiety.
